How and where to download your Sims2 files to play in your game.

For my Sims2 game content.

(using Windows XP)  downloading may differ on your PC.

1.  To start, click the appropriate area for downloading the item you want from the Sims2 fan-site.

2.  A file download box will pop up to open or save the contents of the zip file.  I choose "open".  So, lets click open next, ok.

3.  A window will open with the contents of the zip folder.  You will need to click once on the item file to highlight it or go to "edit" and choose "select all" if there are more than one item file to download.

4.  Next, I select "move this file" under the File and Folder Tasks menu, to move the selected item or items to a place I choose.  So click once on that line to perform this task. It may take a few seconds for the next box to pop up.

5.  A "move items" box will pop up.  You have to select the area where you want your Sims2 items to go and that is the Sims2 "Downloads" folder.  This is where you will find it, just follow the stars in the picture.  Desktop/ MyDocuments/ EAGames/ TheSims2/ Downloads....  when you find the "downloads" folder, click once on it to highlight it.  Then you want to click "move".

6.  Wow, you did it!  Now you just need to close the Zip folder window and then go get another item.
